A little about the wine:
The 2017 Grenache ($32/bottle) is a dry medium-bodied red wine – originally found in Spain – that has a nose of tart red cherry, strawberry and purple flowers, which ends in a bit of earthy bliss. Fermented to dryness on the skins and pressed, it was then racked into a mix of neutral French oak barrels and puncheons. Aged for 18 months and bottled unfiltered and unfined, it pairs well with roasted or grilled meats, shepherds pie, a traditional Thanksgiving feast, cheddar or manchego cheese and when slightly chilled is the perfect complement to spicier foods.
We hope to see you this weekend to share our new vintage and celebrate National Grenache Day! Any questions? Call us at 480.947.0636 or email info@carlsoncreek.com.
