With the Oregon Ducks descending on Arizona to play Kansas State in the Fiesta bowl, KEZI in Oregon took the opportunity to profile the Arizona wine industry.  The piece features Robert Carlson of Carlson Creek and Sam Pillsbury of Pillsbury Wine.  Thanks to KEZI and Brandi Smith for composing such a great profile.

Carlson Creek Vineyard took home 3 medals from the third annual Arizona Republic Wine Competition.  In the Growers Cup category the Sweet Adeline Riesling won the gold medal in the dessert wine division.  In the Winemakers category, the 2011 Carlson Creek Syrah brought home the bronze in the Reds division and the 2011 Carlson Creek Chenin Blanc won gold in the Whites division.
